Default Homemade cleaning solution for steam carpet cleaners?

I have this awesome Bissell Spotbot that I can set down on a puppy pee spot and it works itself! I love it... but the solution is expensive and doesn't last long at all.

I've used watered down laundry detergent, but don't like the results. Does anyone have a homemade solution for their carpet cleaners??

I use vinager water and oxiclean. 1 cup vinager, 1 scoop oxi
I have never had an issue with clogging(cloggin or damaging machine, I have used this for yeasr now) or carpet fading.
I have also used ammonia and/or windex(any window cleaner) and water and simple green and water.

I have the same Bissell cleaner. I buy the Sam's Club brand carpet cleaner. One gallon is like $5.00 and it makes I think about 40 gallons. It cleans much better and smells better than the Bissell brand.
