Angry What Happens if You Eat Raw CHicken??

We are always sooo careful when cutting and handling chicken. Well, we went to APplebee's the other day and had chicken parm. It is no longer on the menu, but it is the same chicken they use for the country fried chicken. Well, DH eats much faster than I and when he was about three quarters through, I saw his chicken was mostly rare - with a little bit at the top cooked!! I looked at mine and it was the same but I hadn't eaten that much of it yet. Hard to notice when it is covered in cheese and sauce.

THey took it off the bill and we got an appetizer plate for half off. The manager explained that the two chicken pieces were stuck together in the fryer so one side of each didn't cook through all of the way.

So far we have not had any stomach problems. This ever happened to anyone?

I got raw chicken at shoneys. It didn't make me sick, well besides the fact that it made me sick just to think about it.

I had a dumb doctor once tell us that food poisoning doesn't show up until 24 hours after the food is eaten. Wtf??
He was the same one that said dd had allergies, but she really had pnumonia.

So far, we are still healthy. Does bother me that they get the food frozen and all they have to do is throw it into boiling oil and they mess that up. Won't be eating chicken parm out anywhere for a while. Really wish there were more restaurants that prepared the food on site. So many of the chains (and some privately owned places) are just fast food with a waiter.

You're so right about places just being fast food with a waiter. A guy I knew worked as a cook at Chili's. He said all of their food was frozen and they just had to heat it up. He was told they did it that way so their recipes wouldn't get "stolen". I don't know if that was true or not.

Went into a restaurant supply warehouse in Northern Virginia. You couldn't purchase anything unless you had a restaurant license. What an eye opener! There were different grades of meat - already in portions, frozen. Of course, all of the appetizers were there, fish, veggies, you name it. This was several years ago. They have it down to a science now. Asked about the "fresh fish" on the menu at a local restaurant and was told this was Montana. Of course it isn't fresh, been meaning to change the menu. We now have fresh fish delivered to most restaurants by a local supplier. Menu varies by what kind of fish they get that day - but it is fresh.

Just watch to make sure you don't grow feathers. I think it starts in the arm pits.
We also had under fried chicken wings at A.B.

I had food poisoning once, McD's fish & tartar sauce was the culprit. I was deathly sick within 3 hours, almost hospitalized.
