Default Does anyone else remember this

    or am I going crazy?
Back in the 70's or 80's, Ricky Nelson's daughter, Tracy Nelson, fighting her uncle, Mark Harmon, for custody of her own children? Seems like Mark and his wife, Pam Dawber, had custody during a rough time for Tracy and when she tried to get them back, they fought for full legal custody?

    Ring a bell?

Doesn't say anything about that in her bio. I don't remember it myself, but I do remember that she had cancer.

    Early life
Tracy Nelson was born on October 25, 1963, in Santa Monica, California. Raised in a predominately show business family, Nelson's parents were musician Ricky Nelson and actress and artist Kristin Nelson (née Harmon). The oldest of four children, her siblings include Matthew Nelson, Gunnar Nelson, and Sam Nelson.[1] Her paternal grandparents are Ozzie and Harriet Nelson and her maternal grandparents are football player Tom Harmon and actress Elyse Knox. She is also the niece of actors David Nelson, Mark Harmon, and Kelly Harmon

    [edit] Career
As an actress, Tracy Nelson is perhaps best known for playing the part of 'Sister Steve', the sidekick of Father Dowling in the television series The Father Dowling Mysteries, which starred Tom Bosley and Mary Wickes. She started her career early playing one of Henry Fonda's daughters in Yours, Mine and Ours (1968) when she was five years old. In 1982 she gained some popularity by playing Jennifer DeNuccio on the critically acclaimed television series Square Pegs. Through the 1980s and 1990s she made guest appearances on a string of popular television series including Family Ties, The Love Boat, St. Elsewhere, Matlock, Murphy Brown, Melrose Place and Will and Grace; her physical resemblance to Jerry Seinfeld led to her starring as George Costanza's girlfriend in the Seinfeld episode The Cartoon. She has also appeared in several popular movies including the Nick Nolte movie Down and Out in Beverly Hills. She also starred in the movies The Perfect Nanny in 2000, and Fangs and Dumb Luck in 2001, along with the made-for-TV movies The Perfect Husband in 2002 and A Killer Upstairs in 2005.

    [edit] Personal life
Tracy is a 1981 graduate from the Westlake School for Girls. A cancer survivor, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease a month after her 1987 marriage to actor William R. Moses. The couple divorced in 1997 and share a daughter, Remington Elizabeth, born in 1992. Tracy also has a son, Elijah, born in 2001, father Chris Clark.

Thanks Rube. It was Tracy's younger brother they were fighting for, not her kids.

Kris Nelson, Ricky Nelson's ex-wife, went off the deep end on drugs after he died. She was in and out of rehab and Sam, their son, went to live with the Harmon family (Mark is Kris' sister). She tried to get him back whenever she was *out* of rehab, but kept going back to her old ways, so Mark and Pam tried to get residential custody. Never heard how it all turned out though.
