Will cherries ripen after they are picked?
I bought like 3 lbs. of bing cherries at the store this evening and even when I was looking at them in the store they didn't seem very ripe. I just started eating some and they are rock hard. Yuck! Will they ripen over time or are they a lost cause? Should I leave them out on the counter over night? If they don't ripen what the heck should I do with them? Thanks!
*Oh, and I realize they came from WA here to WI so that makes me even more nervous. Like were they green when they were picked or what?!
