I have a very small one that I got from a great aunt years ago. I display my S&P shakers and a few small whatnots I got when my grandmother died.

I do have a china hutch - I inherited my Great Grandmother's antique china dishes and bought the hutch specifically for the purpose of displaying my Grandmother's dishes. I also have a couple of Faberge eggs displayed.

I have one that dh made. It started out years ago with dishes my mom gave me. Then gradually it started filling up with stuff that I was going to get to later. Papers, old mail, glasses from garage sales, trinkets etc. etc. It filled up like a giant junk drawer. I got sick of looking at it one day and threw everything away. Now it holds just a few fancy glasses and some platters.

We got a new lighted hutch just a couple of years ago.....it has 'treasures' in it, mostly glass pieces that belonged to our mothers and grandmothers, pieces that were always on display in their homes so they are all very special to both of us...also a few little pieces special from our own life like a glass paperweight, the first gift DH ever gave me when we were dating, and a crystal bell, a gift for our 25th wedding anniversary (it's almost an antique now!). I turn the light on in the hutch every evening and enjoy it very much.

Yes, we have a china cabinet , we have SO's grandparents Haviland french bone china dishes displayed and crystal bowls and wine glasses. Also have a curio cabinet, we have dishes, platters, etc. from Korea in that one, beautiful stuff. SO was stationed in Korea for a couple of years. We also have sideboard, in which we are storing the extra sets of dishes we have. Of course we don't use any of this stuff, it just needs to be cleaned. But it's either that or packing it up in boxes and that's not good either. And yes, we have a silver coffee / tea set and a big silver tray on top off the sideboard, another thing that needs to be polished.

I don't have a china hutch but I sure wish I did! Unfortunately, I'd probably have to suspend it from the ceiling to find room for it, but someday...

IF I had one, I'd put the beautiful china that we got from DH's parents and I'd display my collection of Avon 1876 Cape Cod red glass. I have service for two of every piece they ever made of that collection, and I still love it. It figures, the one time I decide to get an entire collection of something it's the biggest thing they ever did! ;-)

I used to have one, put all my Waterford in it. I dedided it took up to much room and was really ugly. I put the crystal into the cedar chest for saftey and pitched the hutch.

Oh no, Muzette, bring that Waterford out to enjoy! Just love "dust collectors". Have two pieces for display; one has lots of Hummels that my brother has "loaned" to me. The other has lots of goodies -- a handpainted coffee set from Germany that has never been used (we're married 44 years), various cake trays and a sample of my good "Sunday" plates, a few pieces of Limoge that belonged to a longtime family friend and various candlesticks collected over the years. Love, love looking at it all. Wish I had some Waterford -- it would be there too.
