I have never noticed anything black in the canned tuna I use. We eat canned tuna often. I buy italian tuna, Tonno Genova, light tuna packed in oil. It has so much more flavor then Starkist or chicken of the sea tuna.

I've never noticed any black specks in my tuna. I only buy the packaged kind since they came out with it a few years ago.

Nothing could be as gross as that black slime and bones in canned salmon.

I only like the white albacore--less "fishy" tasting.

I believe it is just some of the skin - no biggie.

    Default Tuna

What brand do you use? I've never seen anything like that in my canned tuna. I only buy Star Kist or Bumble Bee, packed in oil.

That is exactly what I buy but in water. wonder if that makes a difference? I see them everytime I open a can.
