We just love the salad at Olive Garden!
Olive Garden Salad and House Dressing
HOUSE DRESSING RECIPE:
1 - 8 ounce bottle of Newman's Own Olive Oil and Vinegar Dressing
1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
1/2 teaspoon Dried basil
1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
1 tablespoon Sugar
Remove about 2 TBSP. of oil from the bottle of dressing…Replace with the rest of the ingredients above and shake well. Refrigerate 24 hours before using.
This is what each large bowl of salad contains at Olive Garden...I added A LOT more of each ingredient for a dinner party we had!
1 large CHILLED salad bowl
1 bag Dole American Blend Salad...(I use crisp green leaf lettuce, which I prefer because I find that bagged salads have a funny taste).
4-5 slices Red Onion
4-6 Black Olives
2-4 Whole Pepperoncini Peppers
1/2 cup Croutons
1 small Roma Tomato, Sliced Into Wedges
Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
Toss all together in a large CHILLED salad bowl and serve with homemade bread sticks that have been brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with garlic powder and freshly grated parmesan cheese while still warm.
