Never heard of it - Really! But found this.

GARLIC SNACK MIX (Similar to Gardetto's)
Source: Spike & Jamie's Recipe Collection, Recipe Disk 352

9 Tbsp. Butter or margarine, melted
    3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 tsp. seasoned salt
    3/4 tsp. onion powder
2-3 shakes Tabasco sauce, to taste (optional)
1 tsp. sugar (only if using Tabasco)
9 cups (total) Rice, Wheat, and/or Corn Chex
1 can cocktail peanuts (about 2 cups)
    1 cup pretzels

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In small bowl, stir together butter, Worcestershire, seasonings, Tabasco, and sugar. In large mixing bowl, combine cereal, peanuts, and pretzels. Drizzle seasoned butter over cereal mixture, stirring to coat well. Transfer to large roasting/baking dish and bake for 75-90 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until almost completely dry but not over-browned. Allow to cool completely, stirring once or twice to air dry, and store in airtight bag/container.

NOTE: If mixture doesn't seem completely dry after cooling, pop it back into
a 250-degree oven for another 15 minutes or so and then cool again.

Substitutes: bagel chips, mini breadsticks, or any other "munchy" ingredient cup for cup as you wish. Just make sure you have 12 cups total.

This recipe is really helpful, but does anyone have the recipe to make the rye chips from scratch?

You're like I used to be. I wanted to try everything from scratch and had copied every recipe that I could find. Those recipes are now in the trash because I figured out that doing it at home usually costed a lot more than just buying store-bought stuff. So, unless you have food allergies and need to make the recipe for health reasons, save yourself some time and money. Buy what you want because you are not going to be eating it all the time to justify the time and cost..

This is old, but worth it.
    2 cup oil
    2 Tbsp. garlic salt
    1 Tbsp. onion salt
    2 Tbsp. Accent seasoning
    2 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce

Mix and pour over broken bread sticks, pinah's garlic rounds, pretzels and whatever else you want to add.
Bake 250 degrees for 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes.

Thank you for the recipe, but I was really looking for a recipe for the rye chips. I have freshly milled rye flour, I got from a farm/mill, and would like to try making the chips. I tried bread and cake with the flour and I'm having a ton of fun doing it. If you have a recipe for rye chips please share.
