I hope someone has their shrimp salad recipe. Folks for years and years still go there for that shrimp salad.

Now I know this was meant for me since it's just a stone's throw away. Good to see you BTW.

You will not believe how very very few ingredients to duplicate it. The secret is starting with very well seasoned steamed shrimp (i.e. plenty of Old Bay) Then it's simply diced celery and Hellman's mayo. Taste for seasoning and adjust. I frequently add a bit more Old Bay .

Do NOT use precooked unseasoned shrimp; the shrimp really need to absorb the seasoning while steaming. I literally put only a splash of vinegar and splash of water in the bottom of the pot, add the shrimp and 'bounce' around in the pot a bit and then sprinkle VERY liberally with the Old Bay. As I know you know, it takes no time to steam shrimp, so I stand right there and stir around once or twice until done. Drain, cool and peel.

Thomas, I'm sure you could. I've never tasted it as I was raised with OB, but if you prefer it, then you'll enjoy the simplicity of the shrimp salad even more.

Is anyone still reading this thread? I tried to open the link for Kibby's Shrimp Salad and I can't get it to open no matter what I do. Is there anyone else out there who has a copy of this recipe and would share? Thanks a bunch.

It appears this attachement has become corrupt. I can not access it either. I will delete that post that references the link we can't click on.

The attachment is six year old.
