    Question iso: mayonnaise rolls?

trying to find a recipe for rolls made in a muffin pan that have mayonnaise as an ingredient. my sister said she had these at a bunko party and they were really good. have found several recipes but are all a little different. would like to have a tried and true one!

    thanks!

I found these online but have no idea if it comes close to what you were looking for. Try out the first one and let us know.

    MAYONNAISE ROLLS

    1 c. self - rising flour
    2 tbsp. mayonnaise
    Pinch salt
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. sugar

Mix and bake in muffin pan at 450 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 6 rolls. (Double recipe for 12.)

    MAYONNAISE ROLLS

    1/2 c. sweet milk
    2 tbsp. mayonnaise
    1 c. self-rising flour

Mix well. Grease muffin pan and bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Will make 6 large or 10 small rolls.

    MAYO ROLLS

    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    2 c. self rising flour
    1 tsp. sugar

Mix well. Pour into 6 greased muffin pans. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Unusual and very good.

The second one Rube posted is the one my daughter used to make.Only her recipe calls for 3 TBSP of mayo

I have Google'ed sweet milk... the majority of sites define it as 2% whole milk but a few say it is an Argentinian product. Anyone have other ideas?

It is just regular old milk, nothing fancy about sweet milk.

thanks for the help guys!!!! i tried the 3rd one rube posted (love mayo and this one called for the most!) they turned out good. they were a little bit bland, i think, but still good. very light and fluffy. think they might be good with a little struesel topping or maybe just lots of butter and jelly.

    THANKS AGAIN!

I would think a pinch of kosher salt would help. I was surprised there was none in the recipe.
