My fave is a good old dirty martini... vodka poured into a shaker w/ ice and green olive juice added. Shake it up good and serve w/ extra olives!
It's all about the glass... I LOVE martini glasses!
Another really good one is a lemon meringue martini
Add equal parts of:
vanilla vodka
limoncello
42 liquor (I think it's 42... might be 43)
splash of pineapple juice
Shake and serve. Those are addictive!!

Bourbon Manhattan
Equal parts bourbon & red vermouth with a splash of bitters. I usually put in 8 or 9 maraschino cherries and a bit of juice over ice.
Of course when I have one of these I make a MARTOOOONI which means it is big, big, big.
If I'm having company I'll make a pitcher of them and add ice & cherries as needed
.............holy Moses, if I had Howard Hudson's martini recipe (from Corpus Christi, Tx) I-d be reeeeeealy rich! I think he'll take that with him! He's a great man, I miss him! Laura
