Thread: Salsa Verde Tried & True?

Does anyone have a tried & true salsa verde? Just came back from Texas and fell in love with this stuff? Thanks in advance!

I Love Salsa Verde. Unfortunately I Do Not Have A T & T Recipe For One. I Have Numerous Ones Printed Out To "try" One Day I Will!!! I Hope Someone Posts One For You.... Uh Us! Lol

jdsnc1~~ which one did you have? I have found two in South Texas. One has a vinegar base that gives a very pungent taste and one has a sour cream base thats smooth and creamy, very mild. My S/O grew up there and'll grill him when he gets home. Let us know, Laura

This is pretty authentic. And note there is no vinegar in it. I love it.

The Ones I've Had Were Tomatillo And Onion Based, Not Vinegar-y At All.
