    Default Chevy's black beans?

Does anyone know what is in the black beans from Chevy's restaurant? I liked the seasoning in them, not overdone but better than just plain beans.

Hi H@H,I haven't had Chevy's black beans. I do know if you put espazote, either fresh or dried, it puts beans into another category. It is sooooo good in it. That is an authentic, Mexican way to make beans. Use dried beans, and add a little espoazote, and salt when they are almost cooked. You can add cumin if you like. Try it - you'll like it!

I'll see if I can find espazote. I could taste cumin but there was something else so I'll try that. Thank you
