Default Greetings Tuesday

Started out in the 50s but temp is supposed to be dropping throughout the day. Step son is actually out looking for a job. This is the earliest that he has been up in a long time. I hope that he finds something.

It was 62º here yesterday so I won't complain about 40s for the rest of the week!

Good luck to your stepson... hope he finds a job!!

Looks like today is buckeye day. I make a big bowl of ingredients and sit on the couch and make a million balls and then dip them all... takes hours and hours. I'm only making 1/2 recipe this year and it STILL makes a ton.

Great day all!!

Cold here, -9 right now. I just got back from going to school, seems ds3 needed $3 by 10am for some pizza party. Office lady had no idea what I was talking about, must be some class thing. They are studying physical/chemical changes in Science and the teacher brought in pancakes and cookies yesterday so I'm assuming they are going to have pizza today! He's loving this class! LOL DS2 has a basketball game tonight, his team is fun to watch so I'm looking forward to that. I have a batch of cut outs waiting to be cut out, guess I better get busy! Have a great day everyone!!

Temp is hovering around freezing and there are huge fluffy snowflakes floating around. I have a (very rare) 3 days-in-a-row off and just can't seem to get motivated to do much of anything. Laundry is (mostly) caught up. Presents are on the diningroom table, along with wrapping paper, ribbon, tape and tags. I came back upstairs for scissors and sat down here instead of wrapping. DH is gone for the weeks so I pulled cabbage rolls out of the freezer for my supper. I think I just might sit down with another cup of coffee and read for a while. Then maybe I'll have a nap....

Sounds like a plan to me. Enjoy your time alone.

Good Morning! I am feeling a little better in spirits today! I just took the kids to school. The temp control at the bank read 13°, the weatherman said a windchill of 5° all I know is that it was cold out there! I had to get gas which was not fun. I ended up with 3/4 of a tank I could not stand out there any longer. I should have listened last night when DH offered to go fill it up for me. At least I have a seat warmer it sure felt good against my cold jeans when I got back in!!!

I am going to get my rum balls and Coll's banana bread done today.

Chaz, I hope your stepson gets a job. I know how tough it is in that area right now. My BIL still lives in Flatwoods and commutes to Huntington to work.

Ginger I like your ideas!

Luvs, I have to wait until DD is out of school to do buckeyes this year. She wants me to just watch her do it from beginning to end. I said ok, but letting go is kind of hard! I am hoping she gets tired and asks me to help!!!

Nu, I would take the full force pain pills and see what kind of havoc you could stir up!! Can you just imagine what you could do while on those??!!

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Babe LOVES tramadol... he takes it occasionally for back pain and it's one of the few that don't make him feel sick or spacey.

Cindy... for several years I used to tell the kids when buckeye making day was... if they weren't available to help shape the balls... I wouldn't make them! 4 people "balling" made the job go so fast! I don't have to make a full recipe cause the kids make their own now... so I can just make 1/2 a recipe to give away.

I think I'll make some macaroons too... LOVE those.
