Havent thought about Noodles Romanoff in years!!!!! My late mother used to make it for us when they were going out and we had a bbsitter. It came in a box....from Kraft???? -- I think. Mom didnt like to cook so this was an easy one for her. Basically just noodles w/ a nice cheese sauce. Google, tons of recipes for it.

I, too, miss the Stouffers Noodles Romanoff. Here is a very quick version:
1 package egg noodles, cooked and drained 1/2 cup drained cottage cheese 1 tub of garden veggies or green onion flavored soft cream cheese 1 8oz carton of sour cream 1/4 cup finely grated fresh parmesan cheese Mix together and microwave till cheese melts. |

Gary, I tried the recipe you posted. It wasn't bad, but not great either. I think next time I will try Momto4 recipe. That one looks fantasic. Or Efue's that one might have more flavor also.

Several years after Betty Crocker quit selling this in a box mix, I finally wrote and asked for the recipe. Have you noticed how many of my favorites are soooooo bad for you?
Noodles Romanoff Recipe By :Betty Crocker 8 ounces wide egg noodles 1 cup sour cream 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon chives -- chopped 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 large clove garlic -- crushed 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese Cook noodles according to directions; al dente. While they are cooking, stir together sour cream, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, chives, salt, pepper, and garlic. Drain noodles, return to pan and stir in butter. Fold in sour cream mixture. Place on warm platter and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Serve immediately. |

Wow, who knew someone at Betty Crocker would give out a recipe for something discontinued!? Guess it does pay to ask!
