    Dunkin Donuts Vanilla Chai TEA

I see ALOT of spiced chai tea mixes and recipes on the net...but I havent found one that is similar to DD version. It is YUM, but a habit I cant really afford to keep up much longer LOL!

Anyone know how DD makes theres ... or a recipe that is similar?

I just tasted my first Chai tea at a craft fair, They also had a Tastefully Simple display...wow! The chai tea was delicious You can order it online, but I'm sure it's pricy...

I ended up buying the key lime cheese ball mix, the sun dried tomato c,b, mix and also the Spinach and herb dip mix.

I would like to have a recipe for the Chai tea myself.
    I organize chores into catagories.
Things I won't do now; things I won't do later; things I'll never do.

I am off for a massage right now, but I have an oustanding Chai recipe that is a clone for Mystic Chai. I think it is very close to Dunkins. I will post it as soon as I can.

Hey Kayce, I liked the Tastefully Simples version too...but it's also a little pricy! I would know...I've been thru 3 cans already! I also purchased the items you listed, as well as Garlic Garlic, Onion Onion, carmel creme latte (also YUM), and the go go asiago dip mix. I do love there products, and would appreciate that recipe too!!!

Thanks Night Angel...I would LOVE the Mystic version. Thanks so much!

This isn't the DD one but this is the one I use and it is really good

          Indian Chai
          1 1/2 cups water
          1 cup milk
2 tea bags or 2 rounded tbsp. loose tea
3 whole cloves (i use 8 or more)
          1//2 tsp. fennel seed
1 inch piece of cinnamon stick (i crush mine with a hammer)
2 cardamon pods cracked (I omit)
2 tbsp.sugar or honey to taste

In medium pan add spices to the water and heat. When it begins to boil add the tea. Boil for 1 minute them add milk. Bring back to a boil, turn heat down and simmer 1-2 minutes. Strain into cups to remove spices. Add sugar and or honey to you taste

              Mystic Chai Tea Mix Recipe

1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
              1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1 cup French vanilla (or I have found cinnamon flavored) flavored powdered non-dairy creamer*
2 1/2 cups white sugar ( I always have a vanilla bean stored in some of my white sugar that I use in recipes)
1 1/2 cups unsweetened instant tea
              2 teaspoons ground ginger
              2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
              1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground cardamom (can be expensive but you can make your own by buying whole cardamon seeds (cheaper) and grinding them in a coffee bean grinder till finely ground)

              Directions
1 In a large bowl, combine milk powder, non-dairy creamer, vanilla flavored creamer, sugar and instant tea. Stir in ginger, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. In a blender or food processor, blend 1 cup at a time, until mixture is the consistency of fine powder. (This is the very important step- it helps to dissolve it better in the cup rather then be clumpy like many home made clones)
2 To serve: Stir 2 heaping tablespoons Chai tea mixture into a mug of hot water.

              *Note:
You may choose to omit the French vanilla creamer, and use 2 teaspoons vanilla extract powder.

You can spice it up even further by adding 1 teaspoon nutmeg and allspice, and 1/4 teaspoon white pepper. Makes 36 servings.

ok, I have tried ALL these recipes and not ONE comes close to Dunkin Donuts version.
Dont get me wrong...they are all good! but not creamy smooth, or they are missing a spice or something.
Does anyone knoe someone that works (or worked) at DD? How do they make it?

I still haven't found Dunkin Donuts recipe on the Internet. Here is one recipe I found that the reviews said is close to the Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts taste (adjusting milk/creamer to make it creamier).

                        Thank you Dewey,
I have tried this one and think it's the one that does come closest. But it still seems to be missing something. Not really close to DD, this one is more like the starbucks.
The last batch I tried made a QT size chinese tupperware container full...so I'll have it for a while.
I think maybe I'll work with the basics and try to play with it or tweek it.
                        Thanks
