how can I change my profile?

Go to USER CP in upper left screen, click on EDIT OPTIONS, check mark the box that says USE INVISIBLE MODE, scroll down to PRIVATE MESSAGING AND check the box ENABLE PRIVATE MESSAGING. Scroll to the bottom and click SAVE CHANGES

Kat thanks for the instructions but that is what I have been doing and it stays the same and I get this message:

There are no subscribed threads to display in this folder for this time period.

maybe the board still needs work

I don't think it is the board. I, myself had a similar issue I just know I fixed it in the admin menu. B/c it doesn't really happen to many others. I put my similar issue with it to operator error

When you select invisible mode, you can still see your name on the main board. Yours will have an asterick next to it. Others can't see your name.
In your threads your dot will be red looking, not blue/gray or green like the others. I didn't think I was invisible at first until I found this out.
