What does it mean...

What does the red dot icon mean after my name? I don't recall having a choice-I see others have green or blue. How do I change it? It says I'm invisible--whatever that means. Sorry if this is a stupid question to you but I'm not very computer literate. TIA, Michelle

Red dot means you are NOT online or Visable
Green dot means you are Online and Visable

If you see a RED dot beside your name, only you will see it and that means you are making yourself invisible to everyone else.

If you see a GREEN dot beside a name, that person is online and visible to everyone

If you see a BLACK dot beside a name, that person is either not online or invisible to all members

Your dot is black or gray in color............that means to me that you are either invisible or not online

One more question--what does it mean to be invisible to everyone else? I'm not trying to hide - sorry i'm so confused!!

mmmomaha - To be invisible means when you are on here, your name doesn't show on the main page that you are on here. We can still see your posts and you name in there and everything.

You have the option to browse and post but not show your name on the main page. Or you can set you setting to show your name on the main page everytime you are on here. I hope this helps.

You need to go to your control panel at the upper left called USER CP. Go to EDIT OPTIONS and uncheck the box that says USE INVISIBLE MODE. Scroll all the way down and click on SUBMIT CHANGES.

Yes, all ADMINS (like Stephanie) and all the MODERATORS will be able to see if you are visible or invisible

mmmomaha you can click on User CP (beside FAQ) top rite and then under CP...control panel click on edit options and it is the very first option to choose invisible mode or not ...if checked your invisible.
