Kathi, I always enjoyed what you wrote here. I may not reply to much but I do read almost all of it. Feelings can be hurt easily on message boards and some people can be downright rude. I come look at the recipes, read up on some news in chat and sign off. I was a member of CK way back in the late 90's and have learned to take it all with a grain of salt.

Well , maybe one needs to consider when you post on a computer , its a little different then having a one on one conversation. We can not see each other, hear each other, see our facial expressions , or hear our voices.
I couldn't have said it better myself. The only difference is that it's better to choose not to look at things in a negative way. It's really not that hard. Live and let live...and never judge without all the facts.

"I'm told it is cookies that are making this possible. I have three cleaners I use every day that take care of cookies."

Well, there is the reason for her having to log in every time. She has a cookies cleaner. Every time you delete your cookies, it takes all the info out. DH deletes the cookies every night when he goes online, so each time I want to get on, I have to log on. Big Dup. It does not take that long to log on.

I'm glad I read this - I had no idea what the "red dot" was for - LOL!

OK - now I have a "green dot" - can anybody tell me what a green dot means????

IF you put your arrow over the dot it tells you what it means, however, the green dot means you are currently on line

If you delete your cookies, you are also deleting where the system saves your password and username. This is common knowlege. You are deleting the "cookie crumbs" that copykatchat uses to find your username and password. DUH.

So you are upset because you keep deleting your username and pwd info? What do you want?

The only people who would need to delete dookies 3 times a day are people who look at porn and have to hide it from their kids and wife. You might want to check up on hubby.

Not so Jackie. My ds clears the cookies everytime he logs off. I don't know why, but he says it has just become a habit and if you don't clean them out often, they build up too much. He is also trying to delete the tracking cookies as much as possible.
It drives me nuts though. When he is home, I have to log into everything 4-5 times a day. At least I'll never forget my password again.

Yes, your son has a likely story there. Right.

He wants privacy as to where he goes online so he makes a habit of deleting cookies every time so he can't get caught the few times he's going somewhere online he does not want you to know of. Common practice. Don't believe me though...

It is not a big deal, but c'mon. Don't be naive.

It's pretty compulsive to delete cookies every single day. Some pc maintenance could be done once a week, others once a month.
I don't want buns of steel. I want buns of cinnamon !!!

Think what you will. My ds is a self-learned computer expert and takes good care of the system. He has always been a compulsive about certain things, and deleting cookies is just one of them.
