We have a pond in the middle of all the buildings at work. There is no access to it for animals unless they fly in or they were put in by the company. Anyway, a mama duck had 5 litttle babies following her around. Then one day, she had just 3 left. A co worker claims that one of the turtles in the pond ate them. I would believe her if the turtles were snapping turtles and not normal water turtles. I insisted that one of the huge cranes that like to come and eat by the water ate them. I've never heard of normal turtles eating anything big like a baby duck. What do you all think happened?

Re: Do turtles eat ducks???
Yes. They will. My In-Laws used to have a house with a lake right behind them. The Ducks had even changed formation due to the Turtle problem. Rather than the babies swimming behind Mama, she had them all around her, and she swam in the center. My MIL said that it was because of the Turtles...Lauren~The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. ~
