    i have a big plant out side. i bring in peies and leave in kitchen in water for the smell. the dead leaves or spikes that fall off..can i cook with them? i would think it would be kind of like drying them..

    You don't have to wait for them to dry. Just break off a sprig and put into the cavity of a whole chicken when roasting. Or tie together with other fresh herbs for bouquet garni. If you want to cook something where you would be leaving to rosemary in the dish, take the spines off a young sprig (they will be softer) and finely chop. 1 tsp. dried rosemary=1 tbsp. fresh chopped.
    Communicate. It can't make things any worse!
