I've already got a bunch of slices frozen. I'm about to shred a bunch and put in the freezer. How much do you freeze in each bag/container? I was thinking of freezing in one cup batches. What do you think?

Re: Freezing squash.
Don't know! lol. I've made zucchini bread, but it's been awhile and I don't know how much. I thought I have it, no need for it to go to waste. I can make muffins, add to meatloaf or veggies when I cook them."Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent." ~Eleanor Roosevelt

Re: Freezing squash.
Not that this is quite what u are looking for, b ut I always cook up my squash like I am going to serve it and this usually invloves pureeing it or using a masher/mixer and then scoop it into freezer bags and voila. Just throw into mico when ready. Or thaw ahead of time and then micro. I put everything in.....the butter and brown sugar...if that's your fancy.www.thenewmommiezblend.blogspot.com

Re: Freezing squash.
Well I've found that you have to let the shredded zucchini drain a bit before you can use your food saver! Ruined 3 bags before I figured that out. I'm not so fast sometimes you know! lol."Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent." ~Eleanor Roosevelt

Re: Freezing squash.
Sorry, totally didn't catch the part about you wanting info about shredding it for recipes...duh! I would probably squeeze out some of the water too, but either way you are safe. Like when you buy frozen spinach u have to thaw it and then drain so either way.www.thenewmommiezblend.blogspot.com
