No I havent. But I probably should have a time or two when I was younger. I cant handle alcohol at all. One glass of wine and I get so ditsy! I remember a night when I was younger when I went out drinking with friends and I had 3 beers. I woke up the next morning at home, but I dont remember driving there. I know I could barely walk when I left the bar. Not only did I have an angel on my shoulder, but so did everybody else that was on the road with me that night.

And that's what's scary. I'm sure there are many of us, including myself, that could say the same thing. I should have been caught when I was younger but had an angel looking out for me and people around me when we were young and stupid.

When you're young and stupid the things you do and chances you take are crazy. Thank goodness I didn't get in a wreck and hurt someone else and thank goodness I don't do it any longer.

Nope, I cannot stand the taste of booze and never could. I'm 50 years old and have never done more than taste alcohol.

Do you think anybody would admit to that on this board or any public board??
I have a friend ( female ) who was arrested for DUI and lost her drivers license for a few years. Not good, not good at all. She was on the mercy of other people to drive her around and her son. Her husband was a military pilot and was gone a lot. And believe me her arrest did NOT help his career.

I wasn't arrested, but babe took photos of me in the ER when I had my DUI... Dancing Under the Influence... had to wear an arm cast for 8 weeks! ha ha

Me too... there but for the grace of god... Babe and I talk about it... wondering if there were just less cars on the road when we were young and stupid?

Old neighbor's bratty son has had 2 DUIs... should have had 3 but he managed to get around that one when he left the truck he totaled and it was too long a time to be tested (breath or blood). Both times when he lost his license... parents chauffered him around whenever he needed and he got a brand new tricked-out truck as soon as he got his license back (twice)... good lessons learned there.

Luvs, Too funny on your D.U.I.. !! I have to admit when I was younger I have driven a few times with one eye closed.. And I'm not proud to admit that. Never had a DUI.. Thank the Lord.

I had a nephew who died from injuries in an accident caused by a DUI driver. His mom was killed instantly and he laid in a coma for 18 months before he died. He was 10 when the accident occured and 12 when he died. They should take these drivers around the hospitals and show them what DUI's can do.

nope..my neice was recently arrested for a dui in arizona..it was her first offense..at least that's what i was told..anyway her sentence was..she can stay home during the day..but she had to spend the night in jail..really strange sentencing..

my other nephew..had a dui and had to pay a hefty fine and had his liscence taken away for a yr..at the time he was a college drop-out..it scared him..he then went back to school..moved back in with his parents..has since graduated from college got himself a really good job and married..

NO! Neither hubby no I. None of our kids or grandkids either.

Idiot next door - 27 yr old, lost his license 2 years ago, he must have another year to go as he has his car in storage yet. Been in trouble since he was 12 years old. Juvenile record for vandalism, busted for smoking pot now the DUI. Lost his job because he can't drive. Sure makes his parents proud doesn't he.

I think the ones who have to serve jail time, & not just a few days, stand a better chance of not repeating. Those who get off with a warning, or their parents bail them out will never learn a thing. Then, someday, they'll kill some innocent person.

It's a shame that even taking away their drivers license won't stop them from driving, or even drinking and driving.
