Okay I am at a loss so I am asking you, the experts for help. I am thinking about entering a recipe contest with my grandma's baklava recipe. Part of the judging will be on presentation. Does anyone have any good ideas on different ways to plate baklava?

Re: Baklava Presentation
I've seen baklava squares in muffin cups, but don't feel that shows off the beautiful layers. Maybe the pieces could be cut in 2 or 3 shapes instead of just one, and displayed on a tiered platter.
I googled and found this - LOTS of photos and what looks like many different twists on the original. Possibly you will find one you admire and can duplicate it.

Re: Baklava Presentation
what about crushing some nuts (the kind in the baklava, I prefer the pistacio ones) and lightly dust the plate/platter with the nuts, that will help the sticky baklava not stick to the plate. Maybe a few drops of honey around the plate, not alot, they're usually plenty on it already. Re: Baklava Presentation
Here are two baklava presentation picture links. The third link is a google results page with TONS of pictures of various types of baklava. Perhaps you could get ideas from them and form your own ideas.
Hope these are helpful:
