  • Question about creamed soups

I'm having a tea party in a few weeks and I plan on making Cream of Chicken w/ Asparagas soup. Do you think this soup will hold it texture if I make it a few days ahead of time? I want to make as much ahead as possible so I can enjoy the Tea Party too.

It should if you use cream, not half and half, not milk.

Most of the cream soups I've made add the cream at the very end. If that's the case you probably can make the soup base in advance and just add the cream when you heat it up.

Ok that makes sense! I'll add the cream right after I heat up to serve my guests.

          Thanks a bunch.
