  • Help!

My stoop is COVERED with (almost) microscopic red crawling things. Happens every year end of May begining of June. Lasts for a while. They are EVERY WHERE!

You do have to look close because they are SOOOOO stinkin tiny, but they are there!
    WHAT ARE THEY?

I think I'll take your cloverbugs to the Florida Love Bugs....ugh they are aweful and hit us twice a year. They stick to car bumpers and eat thru the paint!!!

        Re: Help!

Ro-Ro .. when I read the first thread, I immediately planned to respond and whine about the love bugs. You beat me! Thank heavens May is over for this year (and they didn't get too bad), but September is still in front of us. If anyone has never experienced these critters, don't feel you are deprived. They are horrible.

If they're covering your stoop or concrete surface they're chiggers (another type of mite) and will bite you good....very itchy!! Google for some good photos of bites caused by chiggers.
