    My son works at Red Lobster and sometimes when they are ordering food they get sent the wrong stuff. They can't use it and don't get billed for it either so they give it to the employee's. Well he always calls me and asks if I can use them. This time he brought me 2 very large bags of mushrooms. I have given away 1 bag to my neighbors but still have 1 left. Can I freeze mushrooms and if so how do I prepare them? Don't want to lose them but can't use them all either. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Stuffed Mushrooms would be great, and you can freeze them too.

    Slice a bunch of them up and freeze. The next time you have a steak, saute some mushrooms in butter or olive oil, add a little worstershire sauce, salt and pepper, and you're good to go.

    Use some of them on Shishkabobs,

    - I would slice some and freeze, freeze some of them whole, and do Stuffed Mushrooms with the rest and freeze what you don't eat.

      I freeze them all the time. I 'wash' them saute them in butter and freeze them.

        Make the Ranch mushrooms, their awesome

        1lb mushrooms
        1 stick butter
        1 envelope ranch dressing mix

        put all in a crockpot, cook on low for 4 hrs.


        I add sliced onions to mine, everyone loves them!!

            Whole. They Are Yummy!!

            EDITED TO ADD: SLICED WOULD WORK, BUT THEY DO SHRINK ALOT, I THINK IT WOULD BE A GREAT BASE FOR A CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP. ADD SOME CREAM WHEN IT'S DONE. MAN I'M GETTING HUNGRY NOW

              I never have enough mushrooms to freeze, so it must be a huge bag. I like to take my mushrooms put them in a tupperware with some sliced onion and cover them in red wine vinager. In about a day you will have perfect marinated mushroom salad.
