  • What's for supper this fine Fathers Day?

I've got a nice butt (I wish) portion ham I'm going to cook. Fresh blackeyes peas. Don't know what other veggie, probably cauliflower, it's on sale, and I got a head yesterday.
Got fresh cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple and watermelon I chunked up and mixed together for a salad.

Edited to add: I'm also going to make some Hawaiian bread rolls, I posted recipe in RTT.

Come on up, you got time. we usually eat about 5ish, If I remember right it's about 6 hr drive from SA, I'll delay it for you! Bring SO if you want. Tie him up and throw him in the truck, make sure to give him a sippy cup with cool beverage though!

I think Huntsville is closer, won't be as long a drive. Come on over Jana, there's plenty.

Grilled pork roast seasoned in onion/garlic, glazed baby carrots, red potatoes with parsley/chives/butter/salt/pepper and a dutch apple crumb pie with vanilla ice cream......oh, and some Michelob Ultra Beer!

My youngest son is back to stay with me for a few months, and for Fathers Day, he grilled Chilean sea bass and corn on the cob. And we had watermelon with it. It was so sweet of him - he said I deserved to be treated special on Fathers Day too, since I've been both mother and father since DH's death. Never had Chilean sea bass, but it was really good!
