"as your stomach turns"! so i go to check bank balance and i have $0!!!!!!!! zip, zero, nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!! so while i am trying to figure out what the heck happened........i transfer money from the savings. so i am looking to see where i messed up........and my auto deposit of my pay check isnt there ! in the mean time.......bank is sending debits to my credit card at $10 a pop! that is $50 so far, plus whatever interest. so now i have to wait to get to work to get copy of my check and see if it is a bank or work error. but someone owes me money for these transfers!

Sounds like my horror story. We transferred $10,000 to our checking a/c for a major purchase & proceeded to spend it. When I checked the balance a couple of days later the a/c was waaaaay overdrawn. A trip to the bank and two hours of waiting for the mgr to reconstruct the transaction turned up that the clerk who handled the transfer inadvertently skipped one step and the money didn't move from one a/c to the other. It took a couple of visits to reverse the overdrafts that kept hitting our credit line protection a/c. This was a first experience in overdrawing a bank a/c and it was frustrating.

got to work and found out my vacation pay wasnt put in! according to the store manager.......this person didnt do this........that person didnt do that..........but it is no ones fault! and because i waited soooooooooooooo long to let them know (payday was thurs) they wont re-emburse the fees (double ). BUT.........i know there is a difference between corp rules and state laws.........and i am going to do some research and see what the state says about this! been trying to look stuff up on the comp.......but not coming up with anything yet. hard to figure out wording to put into google.

I have to disagree with your store manager. It is the employer's responsibility to get the employee's pay in the bank as agreed when they sign up for direct deposit. It does not matter that it was an employee fault, it's the employer responsibility to cover the cost of the mistake. I would talk to someone higher up.

That happened to us at my work last year.....the goofy "financial officer" as HE likes to be called, forgot to hit the "send" button with the direct deposits for electronic transfers, yada, yada. It created one big domino effect for some people (like me) who live paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford those late fees or whatever fees.....luckily our employer reimbursed us for those late fees since they were HIS fault. However, it took FOREVER for him to reimburse everyone. The pitfalls of working for a municipality.
