    Any cures? Home remedies?

    I have been sick with pneumonia and a very bad sinus infection. I am doing well and have been resting, BUT, my eustation tube in my right ear is blocked. It feels like when you are on a plane and need to "pop" your ear. My ear will pop and then suction back up again. I blow it out all the time and it is of no help. I have lots of discomfort The Drs. say it should go away "eventually" and I am on Nasonex, Claritin D, musinox, I have ear drops for pain, I have used a makeshift sauna for my ear (internet search idea), and it is driving me insane. The only relief I have is when I lay down. I have no infection and it seems like there is nothing that can be done. So I ask, no plead...Does anyone know of some home remedy to help? Edited to add: I have been suffering with this for 2 1/2 weeks now.

    For Our Ear Being Blocked, Use Afrin, I Know It's A Nasal Spray, But Use It (in Your Nose) And It Will Open Your Eustacian Tubes. Afrin Or Neo-synephrine Either One. But..... Don't Use It More Than A Couple Days At A Time, Because It Can Become Addictive, And You'll "have" To Have It To Keep Your Sinus Open. My Doc Says Use It 2 Days, Lay Off 2 Days, Use It 2 Days, Etc...etc. 2 Days On, 2 Days Off.

        Nu, I have been using Nasonex, an Rx from my DR. and it isn't helping. Is Afrin better or different than this?

          KEEP USING THE NASONEX. IT'S A STEROID NASAL SPRAY, IT'LL KEEP THE INFLAMATION DOWN. THE AFRIN WILL ACT AS A DECONGESTANT. YOU CAN USE THEM BOTH. MY DOC TELLS PEOPLE TO USE THE AFRIN FIRST, WHEN IT OPENS THEM UP, THEN USE THE NASONEX AND IT'LL HELP THE NASONEX REACH THE AREAS IT NEEDS TO GO BETTER.

            thanks nu, I appreciate the help. I am so depressed over this and want this to be over. I am flying in a week and am really worried about it!

              Use The Afrin Before You Get On The Plane, That Will Help Also.
