Just what I figured. The "Mandatory Spending" consists mostly of SS, Medicare, and Medicaid. Then, lots of Welfare too....

Meanwhile, on the charts, Veterans Benefits, etc. is WAY less than MEDICAID!!!! And WELFARE!!!

Obviously, SS is going to be a high Mandatory expense. Baby-Boomers. That's ok. They have been paying into this forever. BUT. Medicaid??? Medicare??? Welfare??? Yeah. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to where the majority of the Medicaid is going to? Welfare? Hmmmm...

To sum it up. We are taking care of our Illegals much better than we are taking care of our own VETERANS.

And, why did I have to stop at 2 children because I couldn't afford to have another child? Why did my Sister have to stop at 1 child, because she can't afford to have another child? And, - why is it when I to to my Gyn, there are ALWAYS at least 5 families there with multiple children, with Mom expecting YET another, and I am trying to work out payments for what I need done (even with Insurance,- deductible, you know?) But, these folks waltz right up to the counter with their 4 children, pregnant with the 5th,, and whip out their Medicaid card!!!!????? Sorry if I offend anyone here, but I am SICK AND TIRED of of this crap!!

I think the welfare system is wonderful for SHORT TERM use...I do not believe in living on welfare and staying on it generation after generation....I think women should have to have a birth control shot to receive public aid

I agree. It is great for SHORT TERM USE. I believe that is what it is intended for. To help folks down on their luck. TEMPORARILY. I completely support that. The problem is... there are way too many people out there working the system. WAY too many people getting pregnant just so they can get MORE public assistance. It flat pisses me off that my husband and I work our ASSES off to make ends meet, and there are FAR TOO MANY people out there that live better than us off of the Government and don't put in an honest days work. EVER.

I have students in my class whose families get over 1,200 dollars a month in food stamps. Just keep having kids......it bothers me to see people on assistance that could be out working. I have a cousin that has her children spaced 3 years apart. At the age of three, the mother would have to work for the assistance in Ohio back in the day. I don't know what the rule is now, but, she has 5 unwanted children and she had them just for the check. It is so sad

Wow that really ticks me off of all the people that are living on Public Aid. They just
pop out one baby after another just to be on Public Aid and set on their lazy butts and
don't do a thing. Plus they get cheaper housing in housing projects than the working
people, they have to pay a huge rent.

Not fair. Public Aid should be looking into where the people on it are spending their
money. Why can't they get a job like everyone else, instead of having another baby to support. I had to work 3 jobs during the week plus my regular job because my ex
wouldn't pay me support even though I took him to court every week. The Judge one
time actually swore at him when I had in court as he claimed he didn't know how much
the payment his wife was making on their new car. He drives up in a new car and
informed me he couldn't pay me my support for the week.

Then he has the nerve to come to my extra job and told me I wasn't raised to be doing
the job I was doing. The manager walked over and asked me if I wanted him to throw
me out of there.
