  • Are shoes "hard" on toenail polsih ?

Granted, I painted my toes early in the season, then continued to wear closed shoes, but I don't remember my polish cracking like this before.

Should I have waited until sandal season?

How long ago did you polish them? It usually only lasts a couple of weeks.

I get mine done every 4 weeks during the spring and summer. Mine does not wear off it grows off. I need to go right now.

I use a good polsih, OPI or Essie. I also bought the Hard as Wraps as suggested here, but it doesn't seem to help much.

Toes that I polished on Sunday are cracking by Thursday. A professional manicure from Monday will start chipping by Thursday.

I guess I'm just a tough ole bird.

I've gone 2 1/2 weeks with this same polish and its still looks good. My heels on the other hand need a good pumis stone to them. Going Sat for a Mani/Pedi!

I've been thinking about this problem. Could your toenails be too long and they are hitting the top of your shoes and rubbing the polish off - in other words, do you need to cut your toenails? I've noticed that my big toe starts chipping if it gets too long.

Jenny, LOL that could be a problem if sparks are coming from the front of the shoes!! LOL

I try to get a pedicure once a month. I don't know what my lil Asian chica does... put the polish stays on looking great for a LONG time. I do know that she puts a top coat on. I do take my own OPI polish. In the past, when I have done a "home job".... it just doesn't work

the chips are in the middle of the toenail polish.
