hi guys, trying to make a new menu for the restaurant where i work and cant think of many ways to serve hot dogs, sooooooooooo my question for all of y'all is...How do you like your hot dogs? lots of input here please, and any other menu suggestions you all may have are welcome, the restaurant is just a little "mom and pop" place with a small buffet and menu, i want to expand the menu without adding alot of new product to the inventory, so things with hamburger, hot dogs, chicken breast, you know, the basic items. thanks for all your help in advance, you guys never let me down!!!

Re: hotdogs
Every now and then I like a hot dog like this:
All beef hot dog(prefer BallPark)
ketchup & Mustard
chopped tomatoes
Claussen sandwich dill sliced in julienne strips
diced red onion
sweet pickle relish
AND...chili !
And a mighty BIG bun!!
My mom use to make a sweet hot dog chili that I loved had stuff like chili sauce, mustard and brown sugar in it.
I also love a good buffalo chicken sandwich:
Breaded and deep fried boneless chicken breast
Toss in Frank's sauce you make yourself and add a little garlic, and either honey, brown sugar or mirin sauce. (I use mirin sauce-sweetened japanese sake/rice wine)
add cheese of choice: monterey or provolone or swiss is best
lettuce, red onion and a good toasted sub roll and you're good to go
Oh yeah, some homemade ranch and/or blue cheese

Re: hotdogs
Buttered medium sized cooked noodles, sliced hot dogs, cover with coney sauce. Top with chopped onion and drizzle with mustard. You can also put melted cheese on top.

Re: hotdogs
My nana used to make bacon cheese dogs...
Slice dog (notall the way thru), stuff with thin long velvetta slices, wrap entire dog in bacon strip, and broil on low till bacon is cooked and cheese is melted. Serve on bun, also can add chili on top (a LATER invention as our tastebuds changed).
We do a salsa mac and cheese with hot dog coins in it. Cook regular ziti, mix with your favorite cheese sauce (metled velvetta is always good), add salsa and sliced hot dogs. bake till bubbly
