So my last night's pork roast was as dry as it can be. It will make a second appearance in some split pea soup. I haven't made any decisions about tonight's dinner at this point.

How about you? What are you having for dinner tonight?

Personally I am hoping that we will go out to eat, but I have a feeling that I will be cooking. I am making a german dish called " rouladen" it's a stuffed meatroll, stuffed with bacon and raw onions, mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.

DD and I are going out to eat since the boys are going to the college world series tonight. Probably go to Applebees or Whiskey Creek.

THAT SOUNDS GOOD. YOU NEED TO POST THE RECIPE. BUT IF YOUR LIKE ME, YOU MAKE THIS FROM SCRATCH IN YOUR HEAD AND DON'T MEASURE ANYTHING. BUT YOU CAN STILL GIVE US THE "JEST" OF IT

Yes, this is one dish I don't have a recipe for or need one. I just remember what my mother did and it comes out very good. I buy very thinly sliced top round, I salt and pepper both sides of the meat, lately I have been putting on grill seasoning. Put slices of raw bacon on meat, then sliced onions, roll up meat , secure with toothpicks. Brown on all sides, add beef broth and simmer for a couple of hours. I add bayleaf to broth and some onions. Take meat rolls out and thicken the broth , I add sour cream and heavy cream, make sure it doesn't curdle on you.

I think in Italy there is a similar dish called braciole. I am not sure if I spelled that right?
