I had my third and final periodontal appointment this morning. I am really in pain for the third time in less than 6 weeks. I sure hope this works because I certainly do not want to go through this again. Just venting......

Hell no they did not give me any pain meds and this plain old Tylenol sucks!!! I will be fine by bedtime. I just don't do well with a throbbing type pain! Alcohol may help!!

Try eating pineapple - the bromelain in it helps speed healing

Cindy, Aleve (naproxen) Or Ibuprofen Will Probably Make It Feel Better Than Tylenol. Gargle With Salt Water, And Wash It Down With A Big Bottle Of Wine.

Or You Can Alternate Tylenol And Ibuprofen. Every 4 Hrs Between Tylenol Doses, Every 4 Hrs Between Ibuprofen Doses, But 2 Hrs Between The Tylenol And Ibuprofen.

Like, Tylenol Now, Ibuprofen In 2 Hrs, Tylenol In 2 Hrs, Ibuprofen In 2 Hrs, So There's Still 4 Hrs Inbetween Each Med. May Control Pain Better Without Overdosing.
No More Than 2400mg Ibuprofen A Day, Or 3200mg Tylenol A Day (24hrs)
