  • crockpot question

Ok, so here is my question....I borrowed my gf's crockpot, becuase I am trying to cook ahead and needed a second one. But her glass lid does not sit flat and tight on her crockpot like mine does. Can I put a sheeet of aluminum foil over the top of her crock and them put her top on? I want a better seal for my food to cook.

Be careful with what you are cooking.......

and make sure you put the foil inside, press down to seal in the inner part of the crock and then put the lid on. I do this with things that are just slightly too big to fit with the lid on ( a ham with the bone in ) and it works wonderfully. Cooks in time and comes out beautiful.
