  • Amazing what a little soap and water will do.

Finally broke down and rented one of those 24-hour super powered rug cleaners. I don't even want to TELL you what's coming out of my carpets, betw. Babe and Peaches... if they could just figure out how to make the dirt spots on the beige carpet look like polka dots!!

All I can say is BLECH... and HOORAY... I have a clean carpet w/ many less spots on it!!

That's kind of like when I bought my new vacuum. OMG!!! I had vacuumed the night before with my old. Bought a new one, vacuumed the next night, and the canister was full of dirt!!!! No more carpet sprinkles for me! Of course, I have Laminate or tile almost all the way thru the house now. Just have 2 more bedrooms to do, whenever we can. Was about to do the one bedroom, have the laminate, but DD moved back in! lol

I got a refurshed dyson and I love it so much. That is the only valcum I will ever buy. It picks up so much also got a steam bissel cleaner. I use it about every 4 months only where it needs to be cleaned. I have beige carpets & it looks brand new because I do keep up with it. I only have 3 people here & 1 cat maybe that makes a difference. I use the Oxyi rug cleaner for spots & like it.

I really need to get Stanley in to clean ours. With two young children our beige carpet also looks polka dotted! I just love freshly cleaned carpet.

In my last house I took the builders advice and always had the carpets dry-cleaned. It wasnt expensive at all and they looked so nice afterwards! Also I didnt have to put up with walking on wet carpets. I had a rental house that I always used the wet-shampoo type cleaner on. When we had to have the carpet replaced, what was under the carpet was truly disgusting! Like Nu, I will NEVER use those carpet sprinkles again! The flooring under the carpets had layers of caked-up "mud" that was a result of the sprinkles, deep-down dirt, and the water that I had used to get the carpet cleaned.
