Gutter Flusher???

I have something like that out in my garage. My DDH said it never worked and was a piece of junk.

Never had a gutter flusher so I dont know who well they work. I went out and bought some "gutter helmets" from Lowes and had them installed and they work so well that I never need to clean out the gutters anymore. They just look like long pieces of curved screen. You cut them into strips to fit your gutter and they just snap into place, and it makes a little helmet for your gutter so nothing can get trapped in there anymore. They were very reasonable - only cost about $50.00 for enough to do the whole house. Only took about an hour to install them all.

I saw those at Wal-Mart at the beginning of the season, but we have never used them. We only have a small section of guttering that DH has to clean, so it really wasn't worth the $20 they wanted for it to us.

WE recently removed out gutter gards, the snap in screen stuff. It held the small leaves from locust trees and didn't let water run thru. We have a large farm field behind our house and the dirt blows in the gutters and gets nasty. Another thing I noticed, we got huge amount of water running over the top of gutters in heavy rains because screen blocks it.

I wondered about that because we have alot of trees that has this weird stuff that comes off of them.
