  • Off to the orthodontist!

It seems like I am spending more time with my teeth Drs. these days than with my family!!!

I am having my upper retainer removed this morning so that my dentist can remove a filling that my previous dentist put in and messed up tomorrow morning. It sucks, but hopefully it will be done right this time.

Good luck Cindy, hopefully it will all go well. Have them give you some pain meds, just in case.

I am back! It feels so weird with no retainer. I get a whole 24 hours without it!!

No pain meds needed this morning. I may need them in the morning when I go to the dentist!

Since I had my braces off in 2007, about 1 1/2 years. I love it. It takes a little more time to floss, but I know for a fact I would not have put on a retainer every night before bed.

My son did the retainer at night for a couple of years. And my youngest granddaughter had the braces and retainers. And I had to laugh, the braces were in color, in sparkly colors. She is all done with it now.

Sabine, I could have used the retainers that I put in at night, but I figured I would lay down and forget it and then just blow it off. So I opted for the permanent and have not been disappointed that I did it.

My cousin had braces when she was about 30. After her braces came off she had the most beautiful teeth. She did not have a permanent retainer and she stopped wearing her retainer. She is now 46 and her teeth are worse than before she had braces

I love those different colored bands and fronts. One of my friends daughters used to change hers for different Holidays. I got the adult type porcelain braces, but it would have been fun to change them out!
