I was supposed to go on a cruise tonight with a girlfriend. I was so excited because I never get out and do anything. She called this morning and canceled because the weather is so icky. *sob*

Hubby called and invited me on a date for tonight. We are going for Sushi and they going to see the Batman Movie. I was impressed because I usually have to make the plans for us!

Basically DDSS here. I am getting ready to go and have my nails done, big deal. Lunch afterwards, unless it starts to rain, in which case I am heading home. Don't want to get caught in heavy rain on the expressway if I can avoid it. yes, another exciting day around here so far the sun is still shining

Not much going on here either. I have been trying to get the mowing done all week. So far--maybe half done. Showers and thundershowers keep interupting. And since I mow about 2 acres, yeah there's a lot left to do. I'm also in the middle of varnishing kitchen cupboard doors. 3 more coats on this lot, then I can take a break for a few days while DH gets these hung. I've basically run out of room and don't want to stack them.

We pulled out our kitchen on June 21. New flooring is down, cupboards are up, and more than half the doors should be hung this week-end. New water heater and water softener have been installed. We're just waiting on the counter and sink. They are scheduled for August 8th. Almost done!!

TODAY IS MY FRIDAY!! I took the rest of this week off and Mon-Wed of next week! Middle DD and her fiance are arriving tomorrow afternoon for 5 whole days!! I can't wait to see them! Middle DD and I are the Celiacs in the family so we love to get together and cook yummy stuff we can eat... and she's planning her wedding for next year, so she's bringing all sorts of cool stuff to look at... and a video tape of my fave small-time cable line dancing show... and she's about peeing in her pants to go w/ me to adopt a kitten at the local shelter... and I can hug on her and smell her... she's 28, but very tolerant of me hugging and smelling... ha ha ha.

Not hump day for me! I'm in a 14-day stretch with no day off until Friday! Cleaning a little today so I can relax a little on Friday before I have to start doing the yardwork and all the other stuff that I never have time to do on the days I'm working.

I had the last of my dental work done this morning other than a follow up look and see appointment in about 4 weeks, so I am very happy right now!

I am doing as little as possible this afternoon.
