  • Medical question - clear liquids?

I am on clear liquids today. The instructions say I can have black coffee or weak tea...... Can I add sweet and low to the coffee? I know I can't have cream.... Even powdered cream??

Sweet and low yes, no cream at all. Only liquids you can see through, jello (not red ), tea broth. No orange juice but can have apple juice. popsicles are ok but not fudge or cream filled ones.

Not sure but I think you can have chicken broth.

I'd be having a lot of apple juice and fancy decaf teas.

Like Tramnurse says yes clear liquids. When I had surgery 3 yrs ago chicken broth was on the list of things I could have too. I don't think beef broth was on there tho. You can also drink like sprite, and 7 up too
