Anyone watch "Food Detectives" on the Food Network? I watched the first show and it claimed that activated charcoal was better to eliminate odors from the fridge than baking soda.
I figured that if it can do the job in the fridge, why not try it in a room? I have a room where my male cat has peed and NOTHING took the smell out, only masked it. I went to the pet section at the grocery store and bought a jug of activated charcoal for fish tanks (about $4.50). I poured some in a large plate and set it on a table. Within 2 days I couldn't smell a thing. I had DS and DD go and sniff it out and they couldn't smell anything either. The BIG test was with the schnoz (DH). HE couldn't smell anything! So my efforts paid off!
Have an odor? Get activated charcoal!
