Yea... I wanted to watch, but we won't be here... and a VCR or DVR are just too hard for me to figure out so I'll have to wait for reruns!

I watched the repeat of the final show yesterday and realized that Adam was not only from Philadelphia... but he and his brother had a restaurant that failed... and it was my DD's FAVORITE place!! The Smoked Joint. We never got to go!!

I watched it. So far I like it. He needs to loosen up a little bit, but he will in time.

I agree...I think he did great for his first show too and he will get better each time too. Practice makes perfect as they say

He made this..but..forgot what he said to use it on..does anyone know? I think this is his anyway..not sure..was trying to find his recipes on the web so who knows where I found it at for sure lol

            Big Daddy Rub:

            3 cups brown sugar
            1/4 cup kosher salt
            1/4 cup smoked paprika
            2 tablespoons cumin
            2 tablespoons hot chili powder
            2 tablespoons cayenne
2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
            2 tablespoons red pepper flakes

In a medium-sized bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined. Set aside.

I missed it too today, however, yesterday (Saturday 8/2) I caught him as a guest on the Neely's show. He seems like a fun guy, but when "she" (Mrs. Neely) got runnin' at the mouth, it was hard for him to get a word in edge-wise! I mean I like her, but she needs to restrain herself sometimes........too "showy" and "hyped up". I'm hoping the best for Aaron, he's very personable it seems.

The Neeley's and Paula Deen, both (I guess all three?) go together! lol

I worked today so will have to catch it in reruns too.

Ms. N drives me up a wall. I liked him well enough the one time I watched. She just so annoyed me, that I never watched again.

I think I am in love!!!! Do you remember during New Food network Star he broke down and told them his son had ran away just before he left to be on the show. They didn't show Josh live like they did Justin.. do you think he is still mising??

I think he's still missing.. didn't you notice on the show, he made the meals his kids inspired and only the young one was on, and every time he mentioned the 14y runaway (Josh), they showed his picture? Really sad.. very sad.. as much as the guy should be in jubilee over landing the Food Network job, his heart probably aches every single day. I hope the kid comes to his senses and comes back.

Having said all that, I think Big Daddy's voice is annoying, it sounds like he has a bubble of phlegm in his throat, I want him to cough, lol..

                              Re: Big Daddy's House

He is from Camden,NJ. let me tell you that is a place that is a real bad neighborhood. Anyone that knows Philly or around there knows it's bad. I loved him on the Neely's. He was so good with Mr. Neely when they were chopping & cooking, they talked about their childhood. I think put those 2 guys together & make a show, get rid of Mrs. Neely. I hate tasty travels since the Neely's took over. I think Aaron did well on his show, I will continue to watch. I don't think I could cook & talk with cameras at me. He will be fine. The Food Star show, his son did run away while Aaron was competing, don't know how that worked out. If I lived in Camden, I would run away too. Hope his son is back & safe.
