I just talked to my son this morning and he is heading into work to batten down the hatches and then getting the hell outta Dodge. I am keeping all of our Houston friends in my thoughts and prayers that Eduardo goes right on by and does no damage.

Re: Edouard possibly Headed for Houston
Eduardo hasn't been declared a categorie one hurricane yet, still a tropical storm. I can't remember how much rain ,if any , Houston got out of Dolly. I heard this morning that the storm will pass north of SA and we will be on the dry side, not to expect any rain, or very little.

Re: Edouard possibly Headed for Houston
We got a sprinkle from Dolly all the way up here in NE Okla!!!! We didn't see any, but just north and east of us did!
I don't think they go anything from Dolly did they? If they did DS didn't tell me about it.
I hope it stays a TS, but we all know from past experiences these suckers like build up right before landfall and surprise everyoneVisit my blog at: http://midlifemotherhood45.blogspot.com/

Re: Edouard possibly Headed for Houston
We didn't get very much from Dolly. I am hoping that it won't turn into a hurricane as I live in a double-wide. I will go to our church for shelter if I need to. It isn't even raining right now. We had some rain yesterday. A friend of mine lost all 3 tv's yesterday evening when lightning struck a big tree in their backyard. Thank Heavens everything else was alright! It could have been a lot worse. They say Edouardo is supposed to make landfall around 7 am tomorrow morning...we should start experiencing stronger winds throughout the day.Have you made time to listen to the birds today........

My DS great grandmother lost her electricity and phone from that storm yesterday so he went and picked her up and took her to his house. They both live north of Houston.Visit my blog at: http://midlifemotherhood45.blogspot.com/

Re: Edouard possibly Headed for Houston
Nu, I sometimes think he loves her more than mej/k!!! She is very special to him and he would go to the ends of the earth for her as he should. She wanted to go back home this morning and she did have electricity back. They live in Conroe and Willis, so hopefully they will just get some good rain from it, but if it looks like it is going to get bad he will go pick her up again. She is very independent even at 84!

Re: Edouard possibly Headed for Houston
Earlier they said it would hit in the morning, now they have decided that it will be noonish or so..I dread this..went through Rita 3 years ago right after Katrina. We aren't planning to leave just yet. Will go to the Church tomorrow if necessary. Anything is likely to happen at this point. I hope it's not sitting out there gaining speed. No evacuations yet, that's good.Have you made time to listen to the birds today........
