8/5/08 Update on Beth

From her Husband, Tony, sent to Jacksterville...

Dear Friends,

Beth is out of ICU and is back in a regular bed in the surgical
ward, in fact the same room she was in before - I fed her a few spoonfuls of dinner, though her main source of nutrition is still given intravenously.

She has had a bed-side analysis for rehab, and will hopefully
start tomorrow (though I haven't had a confirmation of this
yet.) She slept quite a lot today while I was there, though
the nurse told me that earlier she tried to stand and fell against
the bed... she also tried to pull her intravenous line out! She
read her cards from Bonnie & from my work (and also her
lunch options) which is good news.

Beth is on the road to recovery, though Beth would rather
be on the road home right now...

Thank you for letting us all know how she is doing. Seems she is stirring around some and that is a good sign. We miss her & keep her in our prayers.

I cannot keep up, she was in the hospital for complications with her MS,
and then a stomach surgery, and then this thing with her brain bleeding.

is that brain bleeding a complication from the surgery?
what was wrong with her stomach?

many prayers sent to her and to her to lil mini beth I know she is worried about her mom.

Stella,

Beth went to the ER with severe stomach pain. Turned out she had a bowel obstruction. So, they scheduled her surgery for a bowel resection. While in surgery, they discovered an aneurysm on her brain that started to bleed. After surgery, they could not awaken her from the Morphine, so they gave her something to counteract that. She is in for a lot of rehab....

We originally thought she was at the hospital for MS complications when no one had heard from her for a few days. She was in the hospital a few weeks ago for that.

Bless her heart, she has gone through so much lately! Keeping her and her family in my prayers...
