I'm watching Bobby Flay Throwdown in San Antonio, and they're doing Puffy Tacos.. OMG! They look fabulous! I have never heard of anything like that.. So all you Texan's, is that a common way for you to have your tacos?

Re: Puffy Tacos...
I didn't see it, but most MX restaurants here have puffed or puffy tacos.....small shells about the size /shape of a cupcake and filled with seasoned meat (beef or chicken) and topped with lettuce/tomatoes/onion/cheese. Is that what he was making?

Re: Puffy Tacos...
I don't care for puffy tacos myself, but that's how my dil prefers her tacos. And that restaurant that was featured in that show, is one of the best mexican restaurants here in town, great food and very good margaritas.

Gayle, they didn't look small like cupcakes to me. Just a puffy taco shell fill with shredded meat, lettuce, onion maybe, cheese and quacamole..

Jana, I have been to several Mexican Restaurants around here and seen the Puffy Tacos on the menu. I've always been intrigued, but never ordered them. So - Looks like it's time for me to "man up" and take one for the team!I am going to make it a point now to try them!
Some day this week. I will let you know.. Beef or chicken? Fajita meat or ground? I'm good with either. Your wish is my command. Just let me know!
