I am so happy for you, we did our counters & sink, I didn't want to cook to mess it up but got out of it soon. I am so happy things worked out for you. Hope you enjoy it, fun to have something new & exciting to see. Hope the value of your home increased too. Enjoy it's fun.

The kitchen is going great! DH built all the cupboards (woodworking is his hobby--and he has a shop full of expensive toys that really came in useful for this project). He started building them just after Christmas.

The only things left to do, are 6 doors to still put up (ran out of time and energy yesterday. He will finish that next week end) and 4 drawers that need one more coat of melamine paint on the inside (I will do that today and then they have to 'cure' for a few days before they can be used). The electrician has to come back and finish all the plugs etc. and we need to find a tile for the backsplash. I just haven't found anything I like yet.

But I DO have a functioning kitchen--if you don't mind the extension cord for the coffeemaker and toaster LOL.

I know you are one happy Lady! I bet it is just beautiful! Sounds like Hubby is very talented! It's good to have the know-how too. You can save a lot of money!
