I'm thinking of trying that Portuguese soup that Stella posted. I bought the stuff for it. Might change my mind tho...I'm still thinkin' on it.

Yesterday afternoon, my neighbor brought me over 2 gorgeous rainbow trouts he'd just caught (or 2 of the 40 he and a pal caught). I was SO excited! All I had to do was chop off the head and tail so they'd fit in the skillet and I put salt, pepper, cayenne on 'em and dusted 'em w/ cornmeal (which is kind of useless since I didn't eat the skin anyhow) and stuck a piece of lemon in the cleaned out cavity and sauteed 'em.

Had the second half of the first one for lunch today. There's a whole one left... and as Babe is sure the bones will SEEK HIM OUT... he won't touch it.

YUMMY!!!! Trout taco for supper, I'm thinkin'!!

Luvs, My Dh Is The Same Way, He Will Not Eat A Fish Unless It's Filleted, And Then He's Skeptical About The Bones. He Loves To Catch Them, I Have To Clean Them. Even Trout The Bones Just Fall Out When You Cook Them, He Won't Even Try It!!! Last Year We Went To Colorado, Dil Was Only One To Catch Anything, One Lone Trout, She'd Never Had Fresh Trout So I Cooked It Up For Her, We All Got A Bite, Dh Wouldn't Even Try It!

Fresh cut sirloin tips from the local butcher on the grill, fresh butterhead and red leaf lettuce salad with vine ripened tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.......all bought today from our local farmer's market........along with red potatoes (also from farmer's market) diced up and topped with butter, chives, fresh ground garlic pepper .

Sadly, no dessert because everyone thinks they'll be too full from the dinner. Perhaps some fresh fruit or sugar free jello and light whipped topping later on to kill my sweet tooth...however, DD and I took a long walk along our River Front Park and City Island today with my dog. We had ourselves a wonderful freshly blended strawberry ice cream milkshake......the dog got a cup of ice to chomp on and he LOVED it!!! LOL

I stopped by Subway and had DIL make me a free roast beef sandwich on Italian herb and Cheese bread!!!

I made pan-fried tilapia fillets/lemon herb seasoning, white rice with a topping of sauteed mushrooms, green peppers, onions & grape tomatoes. Steamed green beans, brussel sprouts and baby carrots. oooh baby, was it delish!!!!
