How long does cut watermelon last?

I returned some lately and the store laughed and laughed at me. Anyone ?

How long did you have it before you returned it? It's hard to say how long it lasts. I throw it out when it starts to look and taste bad. Maybe after 2-3 days it could start turning bad. Just like any cut fresh fruit.

I am thinking that when we bought it, it might not have been that fresh.

Maybe it was over-ripe when they cut it. I try to find a piece that has a "crack" in it. DH always wants me to buy a whole melon, but I get burned on a bad one each time.

If it was already cut at the store it could have been old. I bought some strawberries recently and the next day they were bad. It's really annoying to have to take something all the way back to the store and then on top of it they always seem to give you an attitude.

How long does cut watermelon last?
At my house...one day...LOL! We love it. I won't buy it cut at the store because it just doesn't taste good to me. I am with Jana...2-3 days.
