  • Liquid diet - but not sweet

DH had some throat surgery yesterday and is already tired of pudding, applesauce, sorbet and frozen/fresh yogurt. What can I offer him that's not sweet ? He can't have anything hot yet.

    Thanks.

Maybe scrambled eggs or mashed potatoes. He couldn't have them hot, but can he have them room temp?

Cream Of Wheat, Cream Of Whatever Soups, I Put In Rtt A Basic Cream Of Soup And What To Add To It To Make It Other Flavors, Haven't Tried It Yet.

EDITED TO ADD: SORRY, DIDN'T READ IT WELL, NO HOT STUFF.

How about chicken or beef broth at room temperature.

All kinds of soups and foods can go through the food processer, thin it down with milk or broth. Malt-o-Meal/Cream of Wheat, Ensure, mac and cheese.

What about milk with whey? Just got some vanilla bean and it is pretty good in milk. Get protein into him too. It also comes in Chocolate. I got a kind that just has the whey and vanilla. No sugar. Just tastes like milk with a bit of vanilla taste. Pretty good and fills me up. It is fairly pricey.
